Dear followers,
Our 3th stop is in China. China is a very
big country with more than 1.338.612.968 citizens so we decided to first visit the capital city: Beijing. What would
a trip be without some partying and having a taste of the nightlife? We can’t
always visit museums and monuments. We also have to have some good stories to
bring back home!
This week I’m going to tell you about where
we created those stories and what you can visit while staying in Beijing.
First
I want to mention that you’ll never be bored when the night hits this town.
Beijing has a lot of bars, disco’s, karaoke’s and floor shows. It’s even hard
to choose where to go!
If you just want to start with a quiet
drink you can go to Sanlitun bar street. You find there all kinds of bars. If
you really like cocktails you definitely should go to No-52 because they have
52 cocktails from all over the world. There are drinks for everybody. Other
interesting bars are: Downtown café-bar, Day Off Bar, Top Club Beijing,… You
should be aware that most bars close at 2 or 3 AM so if you want to party hard
or still want a drink after hitting the club I’ve got one good address: Houhai
NO-5 Bar ! It’s situated in the heart of Houhai area and covers an area over
400 square meters and the bar is 24 hours open!
If you’re looking for something different I
can recommend you the night tours. You can choose between several kind of shows: Peking Opera,
Beijing Evening Acrobatic Show, Kung Fu Show,… We choose to visit the last one and we’re
still blown away if we think about it. You have to book in advance ! We paid
each €29 euro to go to the show but it was well organized. A private car and an
English-speaking tour guide picked us up from the hotel and drove us to the
theatre to enjoy the kung fu show. Kung Fu is a very famous and unique
performing art in China. The show lasts about three hours. We thought that this
was maybe a bit too long but it was definitely worth a visit! After the show
the van brought us back to our hotel without problems.
We definitely made some great stories here.
I’d love to tell you more about our trip
next week!
Shari
