Dear readers,
Our next stop is Hong Kong, and I’m going to talk a little bit more about the climate here. First of all there’s an overall sub-tropical climate. Many people regard November and December as the most pleasant months with the best temperatures. But as you know right now it’s March and I must say we can’t complain at all. Although it’s a little bit too humid and at times foggy it’s very pleasant and comfortable weather. So as far as the weather goes, it’s great. It’s very nice to go outside and visit things.
As far as nature goes, it’s just amazing. There’s for example the Geopark you can visit. It’s an unique natural area with special geological significance. It’s a place where you can see the unique landforms and landscapes of Hong Kong. There are also a lot of hiking trails you can follow, guided as well as on your own.
There are also beautiful beaches you have to visit once you’re there. Many of these beaches have facilities for swimmers. There’s just one thing you might be afraid of… Although sharks are rare in Hong Kong, during the 19990s, there were several shark attacks. The best beaches are alongside Hong Kong’s islands. For example there you have Cheung Chau. It’s one of the cleanest beaches.
Then finally another must see is the Nan Lian Garden. It’s ranked number two on the list of attractions in Hong Kong. It used to be a hidden place but now it’s open for the public. It’s often called the most beautiful spot in all of Hong Kong. The park counts 3.5 hectare and it has been opened in 2006. It was created to provide a serene and peaceful place to escape the busy city. It’s built around water. There’s also a souvenir shop and a vegetarian restaurant.
